My boyfriend’s son is 28 years old. He was diagnosed with schizo typal personality disorder by the army. He is homeless and doesn’t think anything is wrong with him. His father let him live with him for years while he refused to work and did nothing. Finally, he kicked him out last year as it was taking a heavy toll on his father. He constantly comes to his father’s house asking for food, money, etc. His father usually gives into him, but he cannot take care of this 28 year old man who won’t get help or do anything for himself. We really don’t know what to do anymore as he is of age and has to seek help for himself. In the meantime, it is detrimental to my boyfriend’s health and well being. His son does weird things like tries to cast spells with dead snakes and throws them around my boyfriend’s property. I find this behavior very disturbing. He obviously has mental issues, but we can’t do anything to force him to get help. I see this young man as a tragedy in the making. Do you have any ideas or thoughts that could help us? Thank you.
He was diagnosed with schizo

there is no hope for schizos’. nor for their families.
There is always hope in Christ I have proof you can askme of it
Christ heals people with schizophrenia too.
I had a severe, traumatic case of chronic schizophrenia for 8 years. I prayed to God frequently but without knowing His Son.
When I came to faith in Christ I was healed of nearly all the misery of my illness immediately. That was more than 5 years ago. I still need to take my medicine but I have different symptoms (schizoaffective disorder instead of schizophrenia). And I have been off my meds as a Christian and life was much more pleasant and manageable than when I had been an unbeliever though I took meds.
Maybe your boyfriend’s son can get put on disability payments, can see a psychiatrist for medication, and don’t forget to treat him with love and respect. Contrary to what some doctors say, schizophrenics can be reasoned with.
I want to remind you that people with schizophrenia are put on disability and given money by the government for good reason. For many schizophrenics, simply getting through the day can be a horror without the constraints of paid work.
